CROWN, BASE & SHOE MOLDING INSTALLATION

Turn Attention to Detail Into a Skill — Learn Finish Carpentry and Explore Career Opportunities in t

275 US dollars

WORKSHOP DETAILS:

Skill Level: Beginner friendly Duration: Approximately 4 hours Age Requirement: 14 and up Instructor: Judson Stiles What Is Included: All tools, materials, and personal protective equipment. Dress Code: Closed toe shoes. Comfortable clothing you do not mind getting dirty. No loose jewelry. Longer hair pulled back. What this workshop covers: A clear, repeatable process for measuring, cutting, and installing crown, base, and shoe molding with crisp corners and seamless joints. Topics include: * Overview of crown, base, and shoe molding. * Measuring walls, corners, and molding runs. * Inside versus outside corners, and common trim challenges. * Compound mitre saw basics and safety. * Brad nailer use for trim installation. * Caulking techniques for clean transitions. * Sanding, prep, and painting considerations. Hands on practice: You will work with a compound mitre saw, coping saw, brad nailer, and caulk gun, practicing each step of a real trim install from layout through finishing. Worth taking even if you never plan to install trim yourself. Sloppy trim is one of the first things home buyers and appraisers notice, and bad caulking or rough corners can make a $50 piece of molding look cheap. After this workshop, you will know what good trim work looks like and what to ask before hiring. Reserve your spot today. ‼️ Breaks & Meals: Participants are welcome to take breaks as needed; however, workshop instruction will continue during unscheduled breaks. Full-day workshops include a 30-minute meal break. Complimentary beverages and individually packaged snacks are provided. Participants may bring a lunch, use the on-site refrigerator and microwave, or visit one of the mall restaurants. Those with food sensitivities or dietary restrictions are encouraged to plan accordingly. ‼️ Timing Notice: Our workshops are interactive. Occasionally, classes may run slightly past the scheduled end time to ensure students feel confident with the material. Please allow for some flexibility in your schedule.
