Workshops follow a structured, trade-specific progression with required prerequisites. Participants must complete designated workshops at lower skill levels, including Level 1 (The Basics) before enrolling in advanced workshops within the same trade. Prerequisites vary by workshop and are clearly identified to ensure proper readiness and a successful learning experience.

The Basics level establishes a strong foundation through hands-on instruction in core skills, how to work with the tools of the trade, learn terminology, and safety practices. Completion of this level is required before advancing to higher-level workshops.

Skill Builder level workshops are designed to help participants take what they’ve learned in The Basics and take it to the next level.. These workshops focus on building confidence, refining technique, and developing consistency through hands-on instruction.
Journeyman level workshops are designed for participants who are ready to learn complex methods. This level emphasizes tighter tolerances, refined techniques, and the ability to handle more complex tasks.

For The Pros level workshops are intended for individuals already working in the trades, as well as those who have progressed through the earlier levels and demonstrated advanced skill competency. This level emphasizes complex repairs and refined execution.

TradeWorx Academy offers creative Maker Workshops designed for the DIY enthusiast who loves to craft, build, and create.
I loved the workshop I took at TradeWorx Academy! It was easy to sign up online and the Saturday class fit into my schedule well. The intro to tile and grout course was very informative and interactive. I had never worked with those tools before but the instructors were very helpful and gave me the confidence needed to tackle a project! A very good investment and I'm sure more great things will come from this group.
