We believe education is the foundation of success—whether you're remodeling your bathroom, replacing a backsplash, or preparing to hire a contractor. We equip our students with practical, hands-on skills, helping them understand how their project should be done and ensuring that proper methods are followed when hiring contractors.
Why TradeWorx Academy?
TradeWorx Academy was born out of frustration with the shortage of qualified, skilled labor in the trades. As contractors, we’ve seen firsthand how unskilled labor can lead to costly mistakes for homeowners. Over the past few decades, there has been a significant decline in qualified tradespeople, with more professionals exiting the field than entering it. For every 5 licensed contractors leaving the industry, one new entry-level person joins the workforce. If this trend continues, the shortage of skilled labor will only worsen in the next 5–10 years, leaving homeowners vulnerable to poor workmanship and inflated costs.​​
At TradeWorx Academy, we aim to reverse this trend by educating and empowering homeowners to gain the skills and confidence to take on their own DIY projects.​​

With years of experience in their specific trades, they ensure that every participant learns proper techniques that meet industry standards. Our lead instructor, Richard, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to every class, making each workshop a valuable and enriching experience.

Our centrally located Fair Oaks Mall location makes TradeWorx Academy easily accessible for anyone in the DMV area. The venue offers ample parking, a comfortable learning environment, and is conveniently situated near major transportation routes, making it simple for our students to commute from Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC.
