Duration: 3.5 hours (Includes 30 minute break)

Age Requirement: Must be 15+

Dress Code: Closed-toe shoes required. Comfortable, well-fitted clothing that you won't mind getting dirty.  No loose jewelry.  Longer hair should be pulled back in a ponytail or ball cap.

One person per registration. Each participant must register individually to complete their own liability waiver. Registrations cannot be combined.

Workshop Description

No prior experience is required — this workshop includes live demonstrations and supervised hands-on practice.

Hands-On Learning

This class walks you step-by-step through real-world plumbing repairs using actual fixtures and tools. You’ll practice essential maintenance tasks that every homeowner should know, plus watch live demonstrations of advanced techniques.

You’ll learn to:

  • Replace a toilet wax ring

  • Replace internal components of a toilet tank

  • Replace hot and cold faucet stems

  • Replace a faucet aerator

  • Replace a mixing valve cartridge and shower/tub downspout

Demonstrations:

  • How to replace a toilet shut-off valve:  Learn when and how to shut off water during repairs.

  • How to install Pro Press fittings:  Discover how modern plumbers use Pro Press fittings to create secure, leak-free connections without soldering.

By the end of this workshop, you’ll be able to:

  • Stop leaks under the base of the toilet by properly removing, reseating, and sealing it for a watertight fit.

  • Replace fill valves, flappers, and other internal parts that cause running or noisy toilets.

  • Fix dripping faucets by removing and replacing worn-out hot and cold stems.

  • Improve water flow and pressure by installing a new aerator
