Every workshop follows the same, simple flow so you know what to expect next.

1

Once you register online, you will receive a confirmation with your workshop details, along with instructions on how to Locate Us.  You will also receive a Pre-Workshop Primer that introduces you to key terms and basics before the workshop, so you can arrive ready to learn and get more from your hands-on experience.  Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you do not mind getting dirty.  Please remove any hanging jewelry and tie long hair back or wear a ball cap.

2

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

Come in about ten minutes early.  A staff member will greet you, provide any workshop-specific instructions and help you get settled.  Your tools, materials, and safety gear are distributed by staff in accordance with the specific workshop program.

3

DURING THE CLASS

Every workshop begins with a brief safety overview, followed by any essential instruction you will need before moving into the hands-on portion of the workshop.  Your Contractor Instructor will guide your through:

Step-by-step demonstrations

Hands-on practice with real tools and materials.

Individual guidance and support request

Plenty of opportunities to ask questions, make mistakes and learning by doing.

4

BEFORE YOU LEAVE

You will finish with a real, hands-on understanding of the skill and the confidence to use it a home.  Your instructor will point you toward the next class in the path if you to keep building your skills and answer any last questions.  You will also receive a TradeWorx Academy Certificate of Completion, because new skills deserve a little bragging rights.

COME PREPARED

HOW TO PREPARE
FPR YOUR WORKSHOP

Preparing for a workshop is simple.  We take of the tools,

materials and safety gear.  You just need to dress for hands-on

work and bring yourself.

CLOSED-TOE SHOES

No sandals or open toe shoes.  This keeps your feet protected around tools and materials.

WORK-READY CLOTHES

Something comfortable you can move in and do not mind getting a little dirty and dusty.

HAIR TIED BACK

Remove rings, bracelets and anything dangling before hands-on work begins.

COME AS YOU ARE

There is no special equipment to buy and nothing to prepare in advance.  If you can dress for a little hands-on work, you are ready for class.

NO LOOSE JEWELRY

If it applied to you, secure long hair or wear a ball cap so it is out of the way from power tools and equipment.

Bring your questions and a willingness to try.  Curiosity is the only prerequisite.
