WORKSHOP DETAILS:
Skill Level: Beginner Friendly Duration: Approximately 4 hours Age Requirement: 14 and up Instructor: Richard Jenkins What Is Included: All tools, materials, and personal protective equipment. Dress Code: Closed toe shoes. Comfortable clothing you do not mind getting dirty. No loose jewelry. Longer hair pulled back. Tired of staring at dents, dings, or holes in your walls? Our DIY Drywall Repair Workshop will teach you everything you need to know to get your walls looking smooth and flawless again! Whether it’s from everyday wear or accidents, drywall damage is a common issue, but fixing it yourself is easier than you think. Join us for this hands-on class where you'll learn how to patch holes, repair cracks, and finish your walls like a pro. What's Covered • How to identify types of drywall damage and select the correct repair method • Repairing small holes and dings with spackle or compound • Cutting out and replacing damaged drywall for medium to large repairs • Using paper and mesh tape for seam reinforcement • Applying joint compound and feathering for a smooth finish • Proper sanding techniques to prep for painting • Tips on preventing common mistakes (like visible seams and over-sanding) • How to use tools safely and efficiently Tools You'll Work With: • Drywall knife • Drywall saw (jab saw), oscillating tools with drywall blades • Taping knives (4", 6", 10") and large format drywall mud application blades • Joint compound (pre-mixed and powder) • Paper and mesh tape • Sanding sponges (wet and dry) • Mud pan • Stud finder • Drill/driver and drywall screws ‼️ Breaks & Meals: Participants are welcome to take breaks as needed; however, workshop instruction will continue during unscheduled breaks. Full-day workshops include a 30-minute meal break. Complimentary beverages and individually packaged snacks are provided. Participants may bring a lunch, use the on-site refrigerator and microwave, or visit one of the mall restaurants. Those with food sensitivities or dietary restrictions are encouraged to plan accordingly. ‼️ Timing Notice: Our workshops are interactive. Occasionally, classes may run slightly past the scheduled end time to ensure students feel confident with the material. Please allow for some flexibility in your schedule.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Our refund policy is designed to be fair while allowing us to prepare properly for each workshop. 15+ Days Before Workshop Cancellations made 15 or more days prior to the scheduled workshop date are eligible for a full refund. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@tradeworxacademy.com. 8–14 Days Before Workshop Cancellations made between 8–14 days prior to the scheduled workshop date are not refundable, but you will receive a credit equal to the value of your registration. This credit may be applied toward a future workshop of equal or lesser value and must be used within one (1) year of the original workshop date. Request must be made in writing to info@tradeworxacademy.com 7 Days or Less Before Workshop Cancellations made 7 days or less prior to the workshop date are not eligible for a refund or credit. Workshop Cancellations by TradeWorx Academy In the rare event that TradeWorx Academy must cancel a workshop, all registered participants will be transferred to a future workshop of equal value. If that date does not work for you, we will work with you to find an alternate workshop within one year of the original workshop date. By registering for a workshop, you agree to these policies. TradeWorx Academy reserves the right to cancel a workshop if registration falls below the minimum of five participants. In such cases, you will receive a full credit or be offered the option to transfer to another workshop.

FIRST AID &
SAFETY PREPAREDNESS
While safety is emphasized in every workshop, we are fully prepared should an accident occur. Our facility is equipped with first aid kits, two emergency eye wash stations, and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

BEVERAGES
Hands-on work can build up an appetite, so we offer a small refreshment station with complimentary soda, water, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and individually packaged snacks.
