WORKSHOP DETAILS:
Skill Level: Beginner Friendly Duration: Approximately 4 hours Age Requirement: 14 and up Instructor: Dave Frizell / Marshal Spivack What Is Included: All materials needed for the workshop. Dress Code: Closed toe shoes. Comfortable clothing you do not mind getting dirty. No loose jewelry. Longer hair pulled back. Hiring a plumber for common household repairs can be expensive, however, in this hands-on workshop, you’ll gain the skills and confidence to tackle them safely and effectively on your own. No prior experience is required — this workshop includes live demonstrations and supervised hands-on practice. Hands-On Learning This class walks you step-by-step through real-world plumbing repairs using actual fixtures and tools. You’ll practice essential maintenance tasks that every homeowner should know, plus watch live demonstrations of advanced techniques. You’ll learn to: • Replace a toilet wax ring • Replace internal components of a toilet tank • Replace hot and cold faucet stems • Replace a faucet aerator • Replace a mixing valve cartridge and shower/tub downspout Demonstrations: • How to replace a toilet shut-off valve: Learn when and how to shut off water during repairs. • How to install Pro Press fittings: Discover how modern plumbers use Pro Press fittings to create secure, leak-free connections without soldering. By the end of this workshop, you’ll be able to: • Stop leaks under the base of the toilet by properly removing, reseating, and sealing it for a watertight fit. • Replace fill valves, flappers, and other internal parts that cause running or noisy toilets. • Fix dripping faucets by removing and replacing worn-out hot and cold stems. • Improve water flow and pressure by installing a new aerator Reserve your spot today. ‼️ Breaks & Meals: Participants are welcome to take breaks as needed; however, workshop instruction will continue during unscheduled breaks. Full-day workshops include a 30-minute meal break. Complimentary beverages and individually packaged snacks are provided. Participants may bring a lunch, use the on-site refrigerator and microwave, or visit one of the mall restaurants. Those with food sensitivities or dietary restrictions are encouraged to plan accordingly. ‼️ Timing Notice: Our workshops are interactive. Occasionally, classes may run slightly past the scheduled end time to ensure students feel confident with the material. Please allow for some flexibility in your schedule.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Our refund policy is designed to be fair while allowing us to prepare properly for each workshop. 15+ Days Before Workshop Cancellations made 15 or more days prior to the scheduled workshop date are eligible for a full refund. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@tradeworxacademy.com. 8–14 Days Before Workshop Cancellations made between 8–14 days prior to the scheduled workshop date are not refundable, but you will receive a credit equal to the value of your registration. This credit may be applied toward a future workshop of equal or lesser value and must be used within one (1) year of the original workshop date. Request must be made in writing to info@tradeworxacademy.com 7 Days or Less Before Workshop Cancellations made 7 days or less prior to the workshop date are not eligible for a refund or credit. Workshop Cancellations by TradeWorx Academy In the rare event that TradeWorx Academy must cancel a workshop, all registered participants will be transferred to a future workshop of equal value. If that date does not work for you, we will work with you to find an alternate workshop within one year of the original workshop date. By registering for a workshop, you agree to these policies. TradeWorx Academy reserves the right to cancel a workshop if registration falls below the minimum of five participants. In such cases, you will receive a full credit or be offered the option to transfer to another workshop.

Your safety is always our priority. We provide all necessary PPE based on the type of work being performed, including items such as N95 masks, gloves, eye and ear protection, and protective aprons. Our instructors will guide you on proper safety practices throughout the class.

Participants work with real tools and materials used in the trades, providing hands-on experience that reflects real-world conditions. All tools and materials required for the workshop are included for use during the workshop.

FIRST AID &
SAFETY PREPAREDNESS
While safety is emphasized in every workshop, we are fully prepared should an accident occur. Our facility is equipped with first aid kits, two emergency eye wash stations, and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

BEVERAGES
Hands-on work can build up an appetite, so we offer a small refreshment station with complimentary soda, water, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and individually packaged snacks.
