The U.S. faces a projected shortage of 550,000 plumbers, with only one new worker entering the field for every three who retire. Plumber hourly rates now run $80 to $130 for residential work, and fixture costs have risen nearly 30% since 2020. Slow leaks, staining, and mold often trace back to rushed work that went undetected. This workshop changes that. BizFayetteville.com + 2 What this workshop covers: • Replacing a toilet wax ring and internal tank components, including the fill valve and flapper. • Replacing hot and cold faucet stems and a faucet aerator. • Replacing a mixing valve cartridge and shower or tub downspout. Live demonstrations: • Replacing a toilet shut off valve, including when and how to shut off water for repairs. • Installing Pro Press fittings, the modern alternative to soldering. Hands on practice: You will work through real fixtures at your own station, replacing the most common components that fail in residential plumbing, under instructor guidance from start to finish. Worth taking even if you never plan to make repairs yourself. Bad plumbing rarely announces itself; slow leaks, staining, and mold often surface weeks after a contractor has left. You will know what good work looks like, what to ask, and what red flags should make you walk away. Reserve your spot today. ‼️ Breaks & Meals: Participants are welcome to take breaks as needed; however, workshop instruction will continue during unscheduled breaks. Full-day workshops include a 30-minute meal break. Complimentary beverages and individually packaged snacks are provided. Participants may bring a lunch, use the on-site refrigerator and microwave, or visit one of the mall restaurants. Those with food sensitivities or dietary restrictions are encouraged to plan accordingly. ‼️ Timing Notice: Our workshops are interactive. Occasionally, classes may run slightly past the scheduled end time to ensure students feel confident with the material. Please allow for some flexibility in your schedule.
