SUBWAY TILE BACKSPLASH

How To Install Ceramic Subway Tile

495 US dollars

WORKSHOP DETAILS:

Skill Level: Beginner friendly Recommended Prerequisite: Tile & Grout Basics Duration: Approximately 8 hours (includes lunch break) Age Requirement: 14 and up Instructor: Richard Jenkins What Is Included: All materials needed for the workshop. Dress Code: Closed toe shoes. Comfortable clothing you do not mind getting dirty. No loose jewelry. Longer hair pulled back. Please Note: This workshop does not cover the foundational tile knowledge (substrate preparation, thinset and grout selection, and tool fundamentals) taught in Tile & Grout Basics. We strongly recommend completing Tile & Grout Basics first. What this workshop covers: A full day, hands on installation of a classic subway tile backsplash from start to finish, using real tools and professional grade materials. Hands on practice: * How to measure square footage and plan your tile layout. * How to use trowels and tile cutters. * How to bring outlets and switches forward to the new tile surface. * Mixing and applying thinset. * Measuring and cutting tile. * Grouting, sealing, and finishing for a clean professional look. * Troubleshooting the common mistakes that turn a good backsplash into a bad one. Worth taking even if you never plan to install a backsplash yourself. A kitchen backsplash is one of the most visible features in a home, and sloppy tile work in this spot can drop resale value and create grout failures that need redoing within a year. After this workshop, you will know what good backsplash work looks like, what to ask before hiring, and what red flags should make you walk away. Reserve your spot today and start tiling with confidence. ‼️ Breaks & Meals: Participants are welcome to take breaks as needed; however, workshop instruction will continue during unscheduled breaks. Full-day workshops include a 30-minute meal break. Complimentary beverages and individually packaged snacks are provided. Participants may bring a lunch, use the on-site refrigerator and microwave, or visit one of the mall restaurants. Those with food sensitivities or dietary restrictions are encouraged to plan accordingly. ‼️ Timing Notice: Our workshops are interactive. Occasionally, classes may run slightly past the scheduled end time to ensure students feel confident with the material. Please allow for some flexibility in your schedule.
