325 US dollars

WORKSHOP DETAILS:

Duration: 3 hours | Age: 14 to 17 | Instructor: Alex Walsh What Is Included: All tools, materials, personal protective equipment, and a take-home multimeter. Dress Code: Closed-toe shoes, well-fitted clothing your teen does not mind getting dirty, no loose jewelry, longer hair pulled back. What this workshop covers: • How electricity works in a real home. • Electrical safety practices and professional code basics. • Proper wire connections and techniques. • Electrical panel organization and circuit distribution. • How power flows from source to outlets, switches, and fixtures. Hands-on practice: Students handle real wire, make proper connections, and trace how power moves through a complete home electrical system — guided by a licensed electrician in a safe, small-group setting. Why This Trade Matters: Electricity powers every home, building, and piece of modern infrastructure. Skilled electricians install, maintain, and troubleshoot the systems everything depends on - work that requires licensing, technical precision, and problem-solving that cannot be automated. Where This Can Take Them: Electricians are among the most in-demand tradespeople in the country, and demand is growing with the rise of EV charging, solar energy, and smart home technology. This is a licensed trade with real long-term stability - those who master it can work for a contractor, become a master electrician, or build their own brand from the ground up. These are skills your teen will actually use: Knowing how electrical systems work means making smart, safe decisions at every stage of life - from handling a tripped breaker to having an informed conversation with a contractor or making sound choices about a future home. It keeps people safe and saves real money, whether they enter the trades or not. Reserve your teen's spot today. ‼️ Breaks and Meals: Short breaks are available throughout. Full-day classes include a 30-minute supervised meal break. Beverages and snacks are provided. Students may bring a packed lunch or visit a mall restaurant with parent permission. Please send appropriate options if your teen has food allergies. ‼️ Timing Notice: Our workshops are hands-on and may run a few minutes past the scheduled end time. Please plan for flexible pickup arrangements.
